Spanish: SLC Reflection
May 9, 2008
This is a general outline of my Student Led Conference; basically it’s what I’m going to say, directed towards my teachers. I learned a lot from just one half year of Spanish. I actually learned more than I thought possible. You could consider me the underdog of the class. I was the only one who hadn’t taken Spanish classes prior to this semester. The first week was horrific; I could barely do the basics, and it was fairly intimidating, seeing everyone so far ahead of me in Spanish. Amazingly, after cramming for a couple tests and a few short projects, I was able to get (fairly) on par with the rest of the class. Señor Gaines did a terrific job of fitting almost a year’s worth of Spanish content within a semester. Update: Post-SLCI just had my SLC yesterday, and I thought I did fairly well on Spanish, along with my other two classes, but I did mention all the projects required, and what they taught me.
Weekly Review: Apple Store and Project Work
April 27, 2008

Welcome to my first Weekly Review, a new feature on this blog where I’ll tell about various assignments, projects, and a general overview of the school week. But it will normally be every Friday night
In the “Creative Master’s” Projects for Spanish class, we were to simply choose a creative master, and replicate their work; and they must be of Spanish descent. I chose to replicate Kid Proquo, who’s representation of the illusion were most impressive to me.
